We value every child as an individual, and celebrate their unique characters. Our children learn through play, and gain valuable school readiness skills by exploring, problem solving and playing imaginatively. Our passionate and skilled staff team get to know your child, listen to them, play and laugh with them, supporting their holistic development, encouraging confidence, independence and social skills. We love to explore our beautiful local area with our children, and offer regular beach and forest sessions.

Our little stars are getting ready for their biggest adventure yet – Big School! It’s hard to believe how quickly the time has flown since they first came through our doors. We’ve loved watching them learn, grow, make friends, explore, create, laugh and shine in their own unique ways. While we’ll miss their smiling faces and endless energy, we couldn’t be prouder of everything they have achieved. We know they are more than ready to spread their wings and take on this exciting next chapter.

We offer flexible playgroup sessions and clubs to support busy families, including breakfast club, morning and afternoon playgroup, lunch club and after school care.
Children enjoy a consistent, welcoming routine with familiar adults, while you can choose the combination of sessions that works best for your family.

Your child will have the opportunity to explore our community. We will be exploring four different areas of Highcliffe starting with games and fun at Chewton bunny, sandcastles and shell hunting at the beach, forest and bug exploration at Highcliffe Castle and parachute and ball games at Highcliffe park. These are all a fantastic learning environment for the children as they learn about water safety, understanding the natural world in our local habitats, create artwork and explore being creative with their play!
Age range: Children aged 9 months to 4 years
Opening hours: 07:45–17:45, Monday to Friday (term time)
Location: Mudeford Wood Playgroup, 250 Lymington Road, Highcliffe, Christchurch, BH23 5ET
Sessions: offered Preschool sessions plus breakfast, lunch and after school clubs
Funding: Government-funded hours accepted (subject to eligibility)
